Google has added yet another tool to its list of services available to web designers. Pixate, a mobile application development platform, allows app developers to create visual prototypes. A basic version of their Studio tool will be free, with a paid version at $5 a month or $50 a year for designers who want the option to collaborate with others.
Pixate is a service that enables designers to create mobile interactions and visual prototypes without having to use code. So far, these would be designed to work on Apple and Android devices. With this partnership, Google continues to expand its toolbox.
Pixate, based in Palo Alto, CA, began as a startup which launched in 2012. The company, with its CEO Paul Colton, raised $3.8 million in funding from Accel Partners in 2013. They are now ready to move forward with an exciting partnership with Google.
